This course provides the theoretical component of performing an electrocardiogram.
Student's will be introduced to the anatomy and physiology of the Cardiovascular System.
And will learn the correct patient connection and operation of Electrocardiograph machines.
The principles of an ECG tracing are introduced, along with tips in producing an accurate, readable tracing. Recognition of artifacts, their causes and corrective actions are demonstrated.
Students learn the theory and practical requirements for Holter Monitor, Blood Pressure and Pulmonary Function Testing.
